First Artists Announced!

Our headliners will be making their first ever appearances at a Japanese festival! The 1975 have been central to the new generation rock scene both in name and reality, and their live show is an absolute must-see that will take your breath away! Skrillex, a dance music icon, and Post Malone (Tokyo), the king of the charts in the streaming generation whose 6.5 billion plays on Spotify last year make him the world’s most listened-to artist, will also be headlining!

On 9/19 (Sat) in Tokyo, and 9/20 (Sun) in Osaka, we will also have Liam Gallagher, an icon of the UK rock industry, and Fatboy Slim, the super DJ behind so many club anthems, on 9/20 (Sun) in Tokyo and 9/19 (Sat) in Osaka, we will have Kygo, who conquered the global music scene by introducing us to tropical house, and on 9/21 (Mon/public holiday) in Tokyo, we will have hip hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, and Official Hige Dandism, the piano pop band who captivated the streaming generation.

Other acts performing (scheduling announcements to follow) include Digitalism, the German electro duo, Don Diablo, the king of future house, The Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown, who released his first solo album in 10 years, Tones and I, the new Australian star whose hit song Dance Monkey topped the charts in over 30 countries, as well as WarNymph, the DJ better known as pop icon Grimes, whose latest track has been critically acclaimed.

Alec Benjamin who first visited Japan last year for Summer Sonic, Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora of Frozen II fame, whose solo concert sold out the same day, SSW Beabadoobee, the 18 year old signed to The 1975’s label, Dirty Hit, Blossoms, an up-and-coming UK band whose latest song reached number 1 in the UK charts, Conan Gray, the sad pop prince currently attracting attention, Floridian genius Dominic Fike who sparked a bidding war with several major labels, UK newcomers Easy Life who were chosen for the BBC Sound of 2020, IDKHOW (I Don’t Know How But They Found Me) the new project of Panic! at the Disco bassist, Dallon Weekes, Jax Jones, the UK house hit maker, post punk band Squid who debuted with the prestigious Warp, and Waterparks, the pop rock band from Texas, will all be debuting in Japan at Supersonic.
